MEANING & CONTEXT
What does Aparna mean?
Aparna is an epithet of Parvati from the account of her austerities. Kalidasa's Kumarasambhava explains it through her refusal even of leaves for food during her penance. The negative prefix a- joins parṇa, leaf, in the Sanskrit formation.
