MEANING & CONTEXT
What does Rameshwari mean?
Rāmeśvarī is the feminine derivative of Rāmeśvara, a Shiva title associated with Rama. Its long first ā distinguishes it from Rameśa, the Vishnu name built with Ramā, Lakshmi. At Rameswaram, Shiva is worshipped through the Ramayana tradition of Rama's worship.
