MEANING & CONTEXT
What does Shesh mean?
Shesh names the cosmic serpent Shesha, also called Ananta, the endless one. Sanskrit śeṣa also denotes what remains, connecting the mythic name with continuity after everything else has passed. Shesha forms the couch on which Vishnu reclines in cosmic depictions.
