Parent Name Combiner

Enter a parent name and another, and the combiner first looks for real names in the reference that begin like one and end like the other. It then offers sound blends: the opening of one name joined to the ending of the other.

Blends are only joined spellings and carry no meaning of their own. Each one is checked for pronounceability, and combinations that read as offensive words are removed. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

How to use it

  1. Type two names. They do not need to be in the reference.
  2. Read the real names first; each has a sourced meaning.
  3. Save any idea. Say a blend aloud with your surname before choosing it.
