Word history
Monier-Williams (1899) records amṛtakara with the sense “nectar-rayed moon”. Amṛtakara is a poetic compound whose literal image is nectar in rays. Monier-Williams gives the moon as its referent and compares the form with amṛtakiraṇa. अमृतकर retains the shorter compound in Devanagari. The interpretation is literary imagery in the cited word, rather than a prediction or a claim about a person.
